While this latest novel within the Idiot's Gold series is a bit more serious than the previous two novels, it's a romantic and pretty gentle-hearted read.


Well drawn and true to life, Charlie Dixon and Clay Stryker are fabulous characters. Simple, blunt and to the purpose, Charlie is a refreshing breath of contemporary air. She says what she means and she or he means what she says. By no means imply or hurtful, she is delicate to others' feelings and she gets her point across with an great deal of tact. Finally ready to put her painful previous behind her, Charlie entices Clay with a proposal he finds not possible to resist.
